How you can help
The Mummery Book Enactment provides a unique and wonderful opportunity to participate in truly transformative Art ––whether one is part of the cast and crew, or as an audience member. Those who have watched or helped to support The Mummery Book enactments experience the ecstatic ordeal that results when theatrical art is focused not on the self, but on the self-transcendence of the performer or participant in communion with the Divine.
Participating in The Mummery Book enactment also provides an opportunity to participate in truly cooperative community. This cooperative venture requires the personal sacrifice and self-transcendence not only of each performer, but also of each person who donates energy or money to its creation.
We are dedicated to bringing Adi Da Samraj’s extraordinary literary Work to life by developing a full-time theatre company that can perform The Mummery Book enactment, enactments of the other two books of The Orpheum, presentations, courses, and workshops on a year-round basis.
The primary magic ingredient that will enable us to accomplish this is, of course, money. We work hard to generate revenues through product sales, fundraising, fees (for membership, training, and workshops, special events, and artistic offerings), and, of course, through paid admission to our regular enactments. However, even with these different revenue sources in place, more patronage and support are needed.
This is where you can help. Through your financial contribution to the First Room Theatre Guild, you can help to bring this most important work to the world stage.
Your donation will go a long way toward helping us to achieve our goals. Not only can you help us grow in our capacity to generate income, but you can help us realize the potential of bringing The Orpheum to the world. Please consider joining us in this special program as a "Friend of The Mummery Book" patron. For as little as $54 per year, you can make a difference to the life of the Guild.
